A 27-year-old female was referred from her regular antenatal clinic visit with clinical findings of low heart rate. She had a history of COVID-19 from 4 months ago, with no prior personal or family history of cardiac diseases.
The 12-lead ECG showed sinus rhythm with 2:1 AV block and ventricular HR of 40 bpm. 2D echo findings were normal. Since the patient had no history of syncope, long-term ECG monitoring with Vigo SmartHeart was recommended which showed the same findings of 2:1 AV block and intermittent complete heart block with a burden of 96.4%. To avoid complications during delivery, she was recommended permanent pacemaker implantation.
